For some of our scenes we wanted to change both the speed and direction of the clips, so that it followed the abstract style of the video and to make the overall presentation of the video more interesting and quirky. We achieved this by clicking certain clips then, modify, then speed. In the screenshot above it shows the pop up that appears that allows us to reverse, speed up and slow down clips. Speeding up or slowing down clips is made possible by changing the percentage to either higher or lower. The higher the number, the faster the clip, the lower the number, the slower the clip. This was discovered through a trial and error process. By ticking the reverse box made the clips play in reverse. We used this tool to help stagger our clips to the music, making the characters more erie and unusual. We found that playing various clips in reverse made our music video stand out and push the boundaries of typical videos.
