From looking at various styles of music videos from artists such as; Chase and Status, The Kooks, Lana Del Rey, The Passenger and Ben Howard, I have gained a better understanding of a selection of music videos and the different styles that are used for the different genres of music. Chase and Status often use a short story to present their music videos, this is shown in songs such as, Time, Let you go, and End Credits. All follows one characters life/journey going through a certain event, whether it be an abusive dad or an alcoholic stumble.
An idea that I am hoping to look more into is creating a story within the music video. I hoping this will then give me a wider opportunity to create a more interesting and engaging video.

Final Cut Express
The software in which I used to edit my footage was Final Cut Express. Although I had used this programme once prior to this, I believe I have learnt a great deal more during this process. I experimented with various tools such as, cutting the song, using various transitions, and cutting certain scenes from a clip.
This project has been very beneficial for the future of the course. As I now have a wider knowledge of the programme for when it comes to making my coursework in A2.
