Producing our Magazine Advert

The above image is a screenshot taken from the process of creating our magazine advert in which we are hoping to promote our artists new album 'Anonymous'. The design we are hoping to achieve is to keep it simple and striking as we believe that this is the best way to catch the most attention. 

We chose the above image to be the centre of attention for our magazine advert as we considered it to be the most striking and intense which is the mood we are hoping to put across. The effect of both the misted smoke used and the animal mask is that it presents a sinister and unnerving atmosphere which reflects the style of genre. This image used also specifically relates to the music video, which then makes it a clear connection to the band and their album/single. 

When on photoshop, we wanted to edit the image only slightly so that we created a more sinister and creepy atmosphere. We achieved this by altering the hue and saturation of the colours, however, we ensured that both the mask and smoke were still in focus and still had some colour so that it still had an impact. 

For our typography we wanted to keep it simple so that it was both clear and did not take the focus away from the main image.
