In preparation for filming, me and nicole decided to look at various locations and then decide where fits best. The features we were most looking for is areas with open space, as well as areas surrounded by trees. One of the main settings we are hoping to film within is a clearing we had found in Frensham Little Ponds where it was a circle of open space, surrounded by trees deep in the forest. We considered this location to be perfect for many of our shots, in which we are hoping to create a sinister and creepy vibe. However, we will also be filming in various others places within the woods, so we are then able to get a variety of different shots and settings to make the video more visually appealing.
The benefits of scouting out our location previous to filming is that we can exactly imagine each shot and how we want it to look, as well as the benefits of the amount of time we will save on the day.
